For Parents

Parents have always had a place in courtship.

Volo Match welcomes thoughtful parental involvement, especially for our younger clientele.
Family, Formation & Vocation

Modern dating largely removed families from the process.

Traditional courtship does not.

For generations, parents knew who was calling on their sons and daughters. Families asked questions. Character and reputation mattered. Courtship existed within a wider community that cared deeply about whether a marriage would be good, holy, and enduring.

Volo Match does not attempt to recreate another century, but we do believe there is wisdom in restoring some of what modern dating discarded.

Marriage joins two families. It also begins a new family and, God willing, future generations of traditional Catholics.

Parents who have spent decades forming their children in the Faith are therefore welcome to learn more about the fellow traditional Catholics who are helping them discern that vocation.

A Place for Questions

Speak directly with their matchmaker.

If your adult son or daughter is working with Volo Match, you may schedule a private consultation with their matchmaker.

This time is designed to give parents a thoughtful avenue to:

  • Understand how Volo Match approaches traditional Catholic courtship
  • Learn how candidates and clients are vetted
  • Ask questions about the matchmaking and introduction process
  • Better understand the role of the matchmaker
  • Discuss how parents can support healthy discernment and courtship
  • Share relevant family perspective, where appropriate
  • Become comfortable with the people entrusted to accompany their son or daughter
The Right Kind of Involvement

Support without taking over.

A parent can offer something no algorithm, dating app, or matchmaking questionnaire ever could: years of knowledge, observation, prayer, and love for their child.

We value that.

At the same time, traditional Catholic courtship requires the man and woman discerning marriage to exercise prudence, responsibility, and free will themselves.

Our role is therefore not to place parents in control of an adult child’s search, but to create an appropriate place for parental wisdom without undermining his or her discernment.

That distinction matters.
Privacy & Discretion

Confidentiality is protected.

Volo Match is a private matchmaking service, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Parents are always welcome to ask general questions about Volo Match, our philosophy, our vetting standards, and how our process works.

Because your son or daughter is an adult, however, their private profile information, potential matches, communications, and personal conversations with their matchmaker remain confidential unless they have expressly authorized us to discuss them with you.

Family involvement and adult dignity can and should coexist.
